Vardaga and Drevviken set to build new nursing home in Kävlinge

It has been confirmed that Vardaga will open yet another nursing home for elderly in own management in the southern parts of Sweden. Villa Fridsbo in Löddeköpinge will comprise 60 apartments and will be situated in beautiful surroundings by Norrevångsvägen, overlooking fields and the nearby Fridsbogården.

The home will be built by property owner Drevviken. Vardaga will rent the property and will be responsible for the operation of the home. Villa Fridsbo is expected to open during the fourth quarter of 2021 and will be surrounded by a large garden of almost 1 500 sqm. including a greenhouse, fruit trees and cultivation boxes.

Villa Fridsbo will be furnished according to Vardaga’s award-winning residential concept. The interiors will combine function with Nordic design to create a warm, homely and functional living environment. The colours and fixtures are adapted for the ageing eye – based on research and evidence-based practice – and designed to facilitate wayfinding for people with dementia.

“We look forward to be able to offer a modern nursing home in a calm, pleasant and beautiful location in Löddeköpinge. Villa Fridsbo complements Vardagas selection of nursing homes for elderly in own management in the southern parts of Sweden, where we will grow considerably in coming years”, says Regional Manager at Vardaga, Susanne Sjöberg.

“This is a project with high ambitions. We really look forwards to contribute to a first-class elderly care in Löddeköpinge”, says Mårten Reveny, who represents Drevviken in the project.

“It feels so good that there will be a new and nice home in Löddeköpinge. We know that many of our older citizens want to live in close proximity to nature, even when the need for care arises”, says Pia Almström (M), Chair of the City Executive Board in Kävlinge kommun.
