Lars Christian Torp works as operations manager and is responsible for the day-to-day running of departments that are part of Heimta AS. It is one of the companies in Ambea’s Norwegian Division providing disability and psychiatric services.
“I have been employed by Heimta since 2008. I’m a trained psychiatric nurse and have done a lot of work with developmental disorders and autism. I also have previous military training, as well as many years of sales experience in both property and IT solutions,” says Lars Christian.
Heimta came into the Ambea fold through the acquisition of Solhagagruppen in 2016. It became the foundation of Ambea’s growing sector in Norway. Heimta is mainly involved with running accommodation facilities for people with disabilities and psychiatric problems. The majority of its 15 residential units are in Østfold, mostly in Moss where five residential units are located along with the Head Office where Lars Christian works. There are also two residential units in Oslo, four in Stavanger in western Norway, and two in northern Norway. The size of the residential units varies between one and eleven places.
Lars Christian is like the spider at the centre of the web that holds everything in Heimta together – and it’s a role he’s very happy with.
“The best thing about my job is that I’m involved in the selling, receiving and preparation of services, as well as follow-up with clients and department managers. There’s also a lot of variety in my job which means that no two days are the same,” he says.
