Carema Care
Elderly care is Carema Care´s largest operation, with approximate 140 units offering about 4,000 places in nursing homes and offers care services in nursing homes or at home to a total of approximate 11,000 elderly people.
Within Elderly Care, Carema Care has developed a concept called “The Good Day". The concept ensures that high quality care is delivered to customers. It affects how daily care giving tasks should be performed, such as serving meals, administering medicine and organizing everyday leisure activities. Through “The Good Day" service concept, Carema Care seeks to offer individualized services to the elderly.
Care of the disabled — Orkidén
Carema Care provides care and support services for persons suffering from physical and/or mental disabilities through Orkidén. The services offered are primarily assisted living units, daytime activity centers and home care services. About 1,400 people receives care or support on annual basis, making Orkidén a leading provider in Sweden.
Carema Orkidén has developed several service concepts. The “We´re Growing Together" service concept is aimed at helping people with psychological and physical disabilities reach their full potential.
In the “Win-Win" service concept, various work tasks, such as product assembly and packaging, are performed by Carema Care´s clients on behalf of municipalities, companies or private persons.
The “An Independent Life" service concept aims at improving fundamental skills, such as maintaining personal hygiene and handling medication, in order to help the client to become as self-sufficient as possible.
Carema Care has developed a proprietary management system that includes Qualimax. This system constitutes the backbone of the operation´s uniform and systematic work on quality and environmental matters. Qualimax is ISO certified and is based on the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare´s recommendations, as well as strong examples from its own operations.
